Abstract

In recent years, mobile phone technology has evolved significantly providing more and more advanced intelligent features via SmartPhones over standard telephony such as WIFI, Bluetooth, camera, along with various applications for everyday activities from email, shopping, banking, stock trading, sport, facebook, twitter etc. As such the mobile phone now plays a very important role in people's life being a repository for several forms of personal data.
 It is anticipated that by the third quarter of 2013 the number of intelligent mobile phones in use will exceed 1 billion units. The ever increasing population of SmartPhones continues to explode the amount of private data being communicated/shared over various communication channels increasing the risk of data loss in the event the phone is stolen/lost or hacked by some third party seeking personal security data surrounding bank account details, credit card details etc potentially via some fraudgelant software application downloaded by the innocent phone owner.
This thesis will analyze how to protect our cell phone information loss and the corresponding Android protection program.
